Casa Colibrí
Después de seis años desde el desarrollo del proyecto hasta su construcción final, Casa Colibrí se alza en un terreno con impresionantes vistas hacia el sur de la ciudad. La topografía del terreno acentúa las perspectivas, y se vuelve la condicionante principal para la ubicación de cada uno de los volúmenes que conformarán el proyecto.
Formalmente, Colibrí está configurado por tres cajas que se acentúan y se conectan entre sí a través de un patio, el que permite a cada volumen ser independiente pero al mismo tiempo complementario y donde la brutalidad del concreto aparente se realza con el paisaje natural y salvaje del lugar.
Este proyecto se concibe desde un principio en fases, donde cada uno de los volúmenes que componen al conjunto se podrán ir construyendo durante el transcurso del tiempo adaptándose a las necesidades del cliente durante cada etapa. Así encontramos: el primer volumen conformado por el estacionamiento y el cuarto de máquinas; el segundo prisma siendo el más grande en tamaño, alberga los espacios públicos de una casa -cocina, comedor, sala- así como un dormitorio en el mezzanine. Por último, una vez construido el tercer volumen, el dormitorio de la segunda caja se convierte en un estudio, y el nuevo volumen entonces alberga el espacio privado del conjunto conformado por dos recámaras completas con vistas a todo el jardín.
After six years in the making from the design development until its final construction, Casa Colibrí raises in a site with stunning views towards the south of the city. The topography of the land accentuates the perspectives, and becomes the main condition for the location of each of the volumes that create the project.
Formally, Colibrí is configured by three boxes, which connect and accentuate each other through a patio, this allows each volume to be independent but at the same time complementary. The roughness of the apparent concrete is enhanced by the natural and wild landscape of the place.
This project is conceived from the beginning in phases, where each of the volumes that constitute the design can be built over the course of time adpating to the needs of the client during each stage. Thus we find: the first volume conformed by the parking lot and the machine room; the second prism being the largest in size, houses the public spaces of a house - kitchen, dinig room, living room - as well as a bedroom in the mezzanine. Finally, once the third volume in built, the bedroom of the second box becomes a studio, and the new volume then houses the private space of the complex where we find two complete bedrooms with views of the entire garden.
