Tepeji
Al encontrarse al centro de la manzana, Tepeji plantea el reto de lograr que todas las unidades tengan un espacio exterior, ya sea patio o terraza y que todas tengan vistas a la calle y al interior del complejo. El esquema con el que se responde es de dos cuerpos; uno al frente del predio, con vistas a la calle y en el cual se alberga el área social de las viviendas (acceso, sala, comedor, cocina); y un segundo cuerpo en la parte posterior del predio con vistas al patio, el cual contiene las áreas privadas de las viviendas (habitaciones, servicios).
Entre los dos cuerpos un vacío abrazado por las circulaciones verticales entrelazan las unidades y conectan las áreas sociales con las privadas. Este vacío, delimitado por una celosía de tabique, permite que la circulación sea privada en el interior pero pública en su exterior. Una versión de ésta se repite en los balcones - jardineras, agregando así una capa de privacidad a los departamentos.
Being at the center of the block, Tepeji faces the challenge of ensuring that all its units have an outdoor space, whether a patio or a terrace, and that they all share street and interior views of the complex. The scheme with which we respond is of two volumes; one in front of the property, with street views and which houses the social area of the dwellings (access, living room, dining room, kitchen); and a second volume at the back of the property overlooking the patio, which contains the private areas of the apartments (rooms, bathroom, laundry).
Between both volumes, a void embraced by vertical circulations intertwine the units and connect the social areas with the private ones. This void, delimited by a lattice partition, allows circulation to be private on the inside but public on the outside. A version of this is repeated on the balconies-planters, thus adding a layer of privacy to the apartments.
